Bruno Munari - The Yellow Conjurer
The Yellow Conjurer
Bruno Munari, 1997
A sweet story that sees a magician disappear balls and conjure up cards, a rabbit, and an express letter. Another beautiful and fun interactive book from Munari's historic 1945 series. He devised these lively books/albums for children using large pictures, pages and inserts of different sizes and varying holes to arouse the curiosity of the observer and let the reader literally hang at each page.
Bruno Munari (1907-1998) was an Italian artist, designer and inventor.
"Since his very first experiences in the 30s among the artists of the Second Futurism, he always dedicated his creative activity to every form of “experimentation”, with a particular attention to the world of children and their games and toys. Never separating content from form and materials, what he designed were at once books, book-objects and games that would make us think."
