Walkshops
For outside thinking.

Since forming Studio Best Wishes, we’ve wanted the act of being outside walking to play a role in our creative practice. It can be hard to prioritise and make happen when meetings, deadlines, working structures, income, too often take precedence. Still, time walking is often the space where we discuss ideas, the future, client projects, solve challenges, and perhaps feel at our most creative.
The act of creativity, after all, demands more than mere discipline; it requires serendipity, a state of openness, and a willingness to depart from the familiar. The best ideas or clarity of thought are seldom found within the static confines of a desk or traditional workplace. While not impossible, perhaps a bit harder to come by.
By stepping outside, both literally and figuratively, we strip away the habitual constraints of the office and invite an entirely disparate cadence of thinking. The act of walking is simple, ancient, and primal and has a way of freeing the mind, allowing it to wander. It encourages ideas to take shape organically, unlocking new perspectives, and the space to think differently and with lucidity.
Walkshops might be a glorified excuse to go for a wander, but we believe it’s where the foundations of good ideas can be found, ideas discussed and friendships expanded. Through this simple act, we’re forced to be more present, engaged, and perhaps technology free, giving nature a seat at the table and allowing it too to influence our thoughts and ideas and creativity.

If you have an idea that needs some outside thinking, we’re always wandering and are available to facilitate a Walkshop for you.

With heaps of love to everybody.
